  1. Comments and questions for the geolocation presentation: Do you think the pros outweigh the cons? It seems that some of the cons have the potential to become a serious safety issue or liability for an advocacy organization, such as the danger of geolocation for young individuals and the fact that the government can track people’s movements. Additionally, do you have any suggestions for how an advocacy organization can try to circumvent or decrease the negative impact of some of the cons associated with the use of geolocation?

  2. I thought that the "Sousveillance" presentation was interesting in that it examined an issue and movement that has not only developed through sousveillance but has evolved over time as technology has advanced. I also think the point made about legal impact is a question worth posing. Does sousveillance help to crystallize an issue in our culture, and does the legal system still fail to recognize the impact of sousveillance?

The "Instagram and Snapchat" presentation was interesting as well. I don't know much about Snapchat, so it was helpful to hear how that platform has played a role in advocacy. Because social media tends to favor viral content like the Kony2012 case, what do you think are ways that organizations can maintain engagement through such platforms as Instagram and Snapchat to sustain over time?
